This Privacy Policy describes how astcass.com (the “Site” or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

GENERAL

When you visit our Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases such as your name, address, email address, phone number and payment information.

We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information about an identifiable individual as “Personal Information”.

When you browse our store, we automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, promotions, abandoned cart reminders, abandoned checkout reminders and other updates. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in our emails or contacting us directly. We only send marketing emails when you have opted in, and we never share your email address with third-party advertisers.

Text marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send text messages about our store, new products and other updates. Updates may include checkout reminders and abandoned cart notifications. Web hooks will be used to trigger the Checkout Reminders messaging system.

 Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you abandon the cart. This information may be used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.

The phone number you provide for SMS opt-ins will only be used to send text messages and will not be shared with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfil our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

We use Shopify to power our online store. You can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy 

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

We share your name, delivery address, email address and/or telephone number with our delivery partners (such as Royal Mail) for the purpose of fulfilling and delivering your order.

This processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you.

Our delivery partners process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.

Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive and if you violate our Terms of Service.

The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, this information will not be shared with any third parties.

USING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use your personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfilment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information. For more information on your right of erasure, please see the ‘Your rights’ section below.

AUTOMATIC DECISION-MAKING

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. Your Personal Information will be initially processed in Ireland and then will be transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States.
